Our Story

Nestled in the rolling hills north of New Orleans, La Colline Farm—French for “the hill”—is a small family-run flower farm rooted in the heart of Louisiana. Our name pays homage to the gentle slopes that define our landscape and the French heritage woven into our region's history.

Our journey began with a shared dream and a backyard garden in the city. After years of cultivating that dream and nurturing plants in urban spaces, we took a leap of faith in 2020, transforming our vision into reality. Since then, we've been dedicated to growing specialty cut flowers using regenerative and organic practices that honor the land and our community.

At La Colline Farm, sustainability isn't just a buzzword—it's a way of life. We enrich our soil with composted manure from our beloved goats—Jasmine, Luisa, and Isabella—and chickens, as well as from neighboring cattle farms. Cover cropping, compost teas, and the encouragement of beneficial insects are integral to our farming philosophy. Farmer Dan, with his background in geology, brings a deep understanding of soil science to our regenerative practices, ensuring that our flowers are not only beautiful but also grown in harmony with nature.

We believe in the power of flowers to bring joy and connection. Whether it's a hand-tied bouquet at a local market, blooms for a special event, or a bundle of stems for a florist, our flowers are a testament to the love and care we pour into our farm. We're proud to share the beauty of our blooms with the Louisiana Northshore and beyond.

Thank you for being a part of our story. We invite you to experience the magic of La Colline blooms, where every flower has a story.
